I'm probably in the minority of those who actually don't mind that things aren't so busy 'round these parts.  Quite honestly, most of what's being posted on certain other busier forums is pretty much crap.  There might be (and is) some actual good, useful discussions every now and then, but I'm not willing to wade through ten pages of "OMEGZ HOTTT NEW SHIZNIZZLE RYU DOGG" crap.  Not that that doesn't make for entertaining reading or anything...actually, it doesn't, but I avoid those kinds of topics anyways.

Personally, if I had to pick a forum to stick with, it would definitely be this one. This forum has what I believe to be an excellent selection of people running it, and that keeps things from going out of control unlike what happens constantly over at other forums (like the Guild, for example). In this case, I'd choose Order over Chaos any day.

One thing that I've noticed a lot: Here at RS, the members seem to put more effort in their projects. On other forums, most of the newer creators (not all of them, but a pretty good chunk of them) not only create things that don't seem all that interesting to begin with, but they clearly don't put anywhere near as much effort into it.

When people here release something, the majority of the time, you can tell just by checking it out for a few short moments that they made a reasonable effort and they should be proud of their work. I can't help but wonder how some people at these other forums can be proud of their stuff at all. In most cases, it's like taking a shit, turning around, and saying:

Wannabe Creator - "Mommy look! I did it all by myself!"
Mom - "YOU'RE NOT 3 YEARS OLD ANYMORE! GET A JOB AND GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY HOUSE ALREADY!"

I mean, seriously... :P

Uhm...Guild has like...4 Random topics not counting the loads of threads they hijack. That means something I think.

About Titiln's reign, true, we're not going the whole 10 yards like in the Loona era, but you know what that was like - We had Dio b& >:(
TWICE
One was voluntary, other was due deleting Brazil from a map, good times.

I have my issues with certain member of the administration in Guild but not all, also I agree with walt (And I'm sure his replies aren't meant to insult nor troll the forum, KFM), generalizing isn't cool, the idiots and trolls are usually the loudest but don't represent all the users (I, however, agree that the idiot to useful user ratio in guild is huge, I mean, Aok's JPG trace thread had some idiots discussing due their lack of reading abilities until PotS posted something useful)

That's my opinion, Anyways, back to editing this sprite...and to finish Lost Planet.

I do not see the rs administration being any better than guild's; if something, it is far much worse , as it just bans users on the spot without even bothering to try and explain them the current situation or "rules" of the comunity as if everyone has to have at least one year of experience lurking before even posting.

Banning people is not dealing with people, neither is it muting them.

It depends on the person. I've had people ask for the heads of several folks, yours included, on a platter and opted to instead reason.

Bans? Not as much. Generally it's reserved for the real problem twits or guys like Bazzard. Usually we just delete the guy entirely, send him out and move on. He wants to come back and behave power to him.

It's not perfect by any means, but saying nobody gets a fair chance is bull.

Whether it's Guild or RS, if you don't like the way things are run, don't patronize the place. Plain and simple.

It's a love/hate relationship.  Kinda like me and McDonalds.
