Global mugen is dead. Finally, truly, dead. The public has killed it and parades its corpse around like a toy.

Hosted sections back up as much as possible, but if any of you want your stuff pulled in light of recent events would be a good time to give me a shout about it.

Wow.

It seems that this kind of stuff always happens to Eli (and some other creators as well).  o_O
Thanks for the quick reply.

Edit - Who leaked the char btw?

Unknown. Guy seems to go by "domonshining" on youtube, and this leak happened at least a month ago judging from his activity time on youtube. We *will* find out though and there *will* be hell to pay.

Most the site is up and running in the current incarnation...I need to get the Tools page reloaded, Psi probably has it from the SNK-shutout backup, and I need to add Super Mario/Luigi's pages back. THe database will not be back for mugen characters, stages, lifebars, screenpacks, endings, or bonus rounds. Just can't happen. We're focusing on legit, quality full games now, and I suggest to folks that are interested to feel free and take part when the times come.

All the hosted characters and stages removed from the returned pages btw won't be back. Sorry guys.

If that video wasn't made we never would have known.  I'm guessing the underground leecher community is mighty pissed at the creator of that clip right about now.

patience my dear, it'll come out sooner or later, once a character is out of it's cage, it spread like diseases.

I was going to post more but anyone who has an account there has already seen it.

Hm...

The event what maked the site got remodelled happened in Global Mugen?Well, I know about the problem about warehousing and etc but the homepage will go a little more slow, because full games in mugen take years to make, and are in few number, the common thing over all the years of mugen was downloading your character, stages and stuff, install in commom mugen and that?s it, I don?t see a real reason to make the characters, stages and etecera go "down", even if randomselect do it there are other homepages who are gonna do this kind of job (giving link of authors homepage and what he created).

And the idea is that was done to "punish" the community don?t go in my head...there will always stupid people in any area, warehousing(well, the one  people who are prejucied is the person who downloaded the char, old update and don?t have chance to know other author stuff) and other things like that will be always in the internet, a price to pay for so much freedom...

I fell somewhat sad, I know about a lot of chars, stages and etc in randomselect homepage, and all are gone.

If I made some english mistake, sorry it?s not my mother langage, if you say what errors I have done please tell me.

See Ya!

And you think we don't know that ?

And you think we care about that ?

KFM knows what he's doing, and if he thinks that doing this is a good way to punish those people, then he'll do it, and there's not much you can do about that.

Actually I do care, and I'm sorry...as it stands I just don't have it in me to maintain the database service any longer at all anyway, my heart just isn't in it. RS needs to evolve basically, and a dead DB isn't the answer.

The hosted stuff is avilable still anyway if you notice...still undergoing some shifting and relocating for now of some things, so please stand by still.
